I just got my Protos yesterday and I've only looked it over real good, as i want to get a failsafe and temp gun first before running it. First impressions: this thing is awesome! Looks way more expensive than the 273.00 i paid at Tower. I didnt really care for the hot pink paint job at first but in person its nice and bright with the blue and silver, so im keepin it! I tugged on the pull start, dang some major compression there . This is my first 1/8 scale buggy, i usually run 1/10 or 1/18. I also have a Robitronic Scalpel and loved the quality, so i figured the Protos would be the same and i was right. Even though it has plastic shock towers, they are major thick! If you break those, thats probably the least of your worries at that point. After hurting my finger a few times, I finally bent the body pins into an L shape so they will come off easier. I love the red anodizing, I get tired of purple and blue. Also two thumbs up to the "c" size glow igniter, very handy if you dont have a rechargable one. i was impressed also with the metal arm mounts and hubs. I'll post more impressions during the break-in process.
