RE: Tips to align elevator/rudder pushrod holes
I get a reference line established on the fuselage sides to help line up with the attachment point on the control horns. Then it is a simple matter to put a point on a length of pushrod wire, heat it to smoking hot and push it into the fuselage side to create a neat, angled hole. No need for any ugly offsets or kinks in the pushrod, no fairings, or Ny Rod sleeves [:'(] hanging out, either. The exit holes can be set 6 inches or so from the control horns and on some craft even closer. The less junk you have to look at hanging out, the better.
