Default RE: 1 Level wing VS 2 Level wing

ORIGINAL: passiveprecision

I am still a beginner to RC airplanes. I have a question that may sound stupid, but pls bear with me.

What is the difference between between 1 level wing airplanes (ex. Yak, Edge, Cap; etc.) and 2 level wing airplanes (ex. Pitts, Bipe) concerning flight? What about it set-up? And are there any differences in controlling the airplane?

Anyone, pls help. Thank you.

Yak, Edge, Cap; etc are NOT beginner planes but would be better than most Bi-planes. All of these planes offer their own individual problems but most serious is their very fast response times. Bi-planes also need special flight techniques and glide (usually) like gold plated bricks. I'd recommend sticking with a conventional trainer similar to a Nexstar (too expensive) or Tower 40 trainer. From there you can move up (when ready) to a low wing like a 4-Star Sig.
Look here for a list of good trainers, second planes and a few others. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4537845/tm.htm
