Hey.

1) Will the elmod kits work in a non-S&S tank? And if so, what's the difference? They don't seem to interact with the smoke generator at all and the Blaster II will replace the HL stock speaker and board so it seems to me that you're not gaining anything (this is with the stock HL receiver board though, which I think has fewer channels than the S&S one). Also, why is the Panzer III not listed as compatible?

2) I would like to paint my tanks at some point; nothing extravagant just a new camo scheme and some weathering effects. I'm a non-modeler though and have never painted anything in my life so I have no idea where to begin. Any suggestions? How hard is it really? Also I've read that you can use putty to mark out the tank for camo schemes which looks like a good idea for beginners. Also, should I use paint from a brush or spray paint?

3) What is a 'primer' coat for and why is it red?

4) Is painting metal (eg tracks and roadwheels) harder than painting plastic? What's the difference?

Sorry but I really am new at this. I only bought my tiger in January and my Panzer a week ago. I have the Plain grey versions.
