Default RE: Sealing an engine?

OK for all the guys who Doubt me.....RTV melts under Nitro....Plain and simple...It might Mask the air leak temporarily...but imo its gonna leak again....take a blob of RTV....put it on a biznes card....now Soak that under Nitro....2 days later....feel the RTV...it will go MUSH in ur fingers.......Three Bond 1211 is what Pro Modder's use to Fill and ramp the crank when they Bore it out....if its gonna hold in a 350+degree motor spinning at 40K...its gonna seal a Carb Just fine...here's a pic of some of the things i seal with it....the coupler is overkill i kno....but to all u racer's out there....U KNOW what its like to have a leaky header seal...and i can darn well guarentee u mine is NEVER gonna bust a seal ever again.

the other solution we found to 1211 the other day was Racer's Edge Carb sealant...I wanted to try it 1 day from amain...and the second i opened the tube..i got a farmiliar smell........1211 Baby....and its RED to boooot.....Now i kno what they use on the JLR RED dot motor's on the crank...chk Amain under sealants and at 5$ a tube....its 5X cheeper then 1211.....but i have Yett to test this stuff out yett....but i put some on a card and let it dry and it came out EXACTLY as 1211 does...so imo its the exact same stufff.
