It does sound like you are having issues with the receiver. Have you played with the receiver antenna routing? If you have it routed next to your ESC or some other RF noise maker, you could be giving your reciever fits. ( I am assuming you unwrapped the receiver antenna and routed it through the hollow tube provided with the heli.)
