I only have about 22 RC cars and trucks right now as I sold a few and maybe Redcat is getting better. Being I have been in the hobby for a while I will stick with name brand RC that I have all ways had good service as well as good customer service. I have talked to MANY on this form as well as other forms and in person of people that had Redcats having problems getting parts. I am a religious race and go to MANY different tracks as well. Now like I said this may have changed. All so the person that use to work for Redcat I know well it was not the product as much as management!
Ive been in RC for a while which really means nothing. You can stick with the name brands and feel the pocket book strane. Redcat however had an lifetime engine replacement warrenty that most name brands do not. Believe it or not i race one of these cheap chinese knock offs,
O' wait they are all made in china. The Team VTX ST-1 is more than competative. and its cost is no where near the name brands. The management of redcat is pretty good, I think your buddy is crying a bit much. Sorry, just my .02
