Are you using skiis that are too small for the weight of the plane and snow-type? Are the skiis fixed rigidly to the landing gear or can they articulate? Have you taxied around at higher speeds to see how they ride and if they are indeed sufficient in design to ride out of the tracks they create? Here, in Northern Michigan we have powder that is so air-entrained (puffy) that the snow comes in contact with the bottom of the wing when the plane is set down in it. It turns out that skiis that are rigidly fixed to the gearare easier to fly, but it's neccessary that they be parallel with the fuse. CG also has to be considered with the skiis on. The two major considerations have been the area of the skiis that come in contact with snow and making sure the front of the ski is curved up enough so as to ride up and out of the tracks they create. Just a few thoughts for you to consider.
