RE: Everything Radial Engines
Hello Tom,
Yes, I am using a robbe (futaba) FC 28. I think these are almost only used in Germany. For some reason the rest of the world flies hand transmitters, only in Germany do we love the pult-style. But my next transmitter will be hand-held style as well. I like the way, the switches can be reached much better on the hand-held ones.
I use the toggle switch for different applications depending on the model and yes, I know that's dangerous! For the most part I use it to switch between flight modes. Eg. switch back in landing (smaller throws, slightly different trim), middle for classic aerobatics and forward for 3D (biggest Throws possible). Another application is when teaching my son on the trainer lead. Here I use it to give him one function at a time: Back is off. Midle is ailerons or rudder only, forward is ailerons and elevator. And a separate switch for throttle.
BTW I have ordered another plane for a Seidel. It is a Czech production by the company "Savex": it's Aeoro A-102. This was a prototype for a WW2 warbird. Only two were produced and it never went into production or battle. But isn't it a beautiful airplane?
