Dude you guys he just sealed the fitting to help prevent air leaks. Just like my ford ranger, it leaks in the back window when it rains hard. I have looked and not seen any visible leaks but it does leak. I used silicon to seal it and sure enough it worked. All he is doing is pinpointing possible areas that could cause a air leak and sealing it up.
