Default RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

I am now working on the pipe/turbine installation. I like open systems (no bypass) so I needed a bellmouth for the Fei Bao pipe. I called Tam and the smallest one he had was 3". The bellmouth tapers down so 3" is the smallest diameter of the bellmouth. The inside of the pipe is about 2 7/8" so I had a problem. I decided to buy the bellmouth anyway and make it fit. I used my dremel and cut into the bellmouth removing about 1/2" of material. I then carefully filed both ends so they fit tight when closed together. I then mounted the bellmouth to the pipe by drilling holes for 2-56 screws and nuts. It looks pretty good. The pipe looks a bit small so I hope it does not choke the life out of my P-70. I know at least one of you have put a P-70 in your L-39. Did you use the stock pipe?
