Remove the lower strut and pant from the spring, I took my torch and heated the top part where the set screws go, go slow and keep checking the fork for movement, the heat at the tip will work it's way to the fork, I had to get the tip RED HOT to get enough heat to the fork, again just keep check it, make sure that it releases gently and does not distort the fiberglass, oh yeah might want to have a bucket of water around.
