RE: Nitro Models Formost 150 are in the USA
Well, received my Formost 150 today. With the exception of a trashed canopy, all looks good. I haven't looked through the instructions yet, but I'm remiss to see how this thing is being marketed for piston engines. It definitely comes with the cradles for a turbine, or even a ducted fan. Nonetheless, it looks like a very nicely made plane. Someone must have been listening about the glue, because mine has the bulkheads/formers very well glued into place. Interestingly enough, the glue looks for all the world like glue from a hot glue gun. The former next to the one that holds the nose gear is doubled along the bottom half. All in all, even with the work that will be needed, I still think it was a good buy. Heck, I may even get a second one and make it a gasser for practice. Better yet, make this one a gasser and convert it once the fixes have all been worked out. Oh and yup, the tail booms do need to be strengthened for turbine flight. I wonder if the should be done for gasser flight too. It's going to be quite a while before I'm able to get this thing into the air as a turbine any way.

Edit: Actually, the canopy is very thin along the edges. I don't see how it's going to stand up to any real usage. Probably a good idea to look for a better one somewhere, or make one. I just sent Nitro Planes a request for a replacement. We'll see how that goes.
