Can someone with the knowledge that knows for sure tell me if it's ok to hone the sleeve in an OS 160 engine? (with a brake hone) Mine had a lean run and the piston skirt scarred the liner a bit. the piston will live , so i would like to replace the ring and simply hone the sleeve with a brake hone to true up the sleeve , Is this ok to do???? When I honed the sleeve it took a while to clean up but seemed to do so, but now I can two colors of metal inside the sleeve. Is this sleeve coated with something , or is just discoloration from being run????
