Default RE: Raptor - Tail too sensitive!

ORIGINAL: kentoby

I'm looking to tame the tail a bit on my Raptor 30. The gyro is holding OK, (I don't get that same locked in feel as I do with my Futaba 240 and 401 birds though). The issue is that I need to de-sensitize the stick input; just the slightest movement is pretty dramatic in the movement of the tail. It seems that I need to dial in some expo but the gyro manual tells me to keep it at zero (no expo). I'm running a Telebee GR701 gyro and a JR7202 radio.

Any suggestions??

Thanks,

KT
What is your main rotor RPM?? If it's above the nominal (1600-1700) then the tail will be that much motor responsive. Lowering the RPM down to around 1600 will make the tail less sensitive.

Also ... if the 701 operates the same as the 401, reducing your rudder channel end points will reduce your max YAW rate.
