I live in the dampness of N.cal and my planes seem fine as well,I do make sure the engines are well lubed if there not going to get used for a while,this is what I do for storage.
I have shelf standards and use pipe insulation for holding wings and fuses over my work surfaces.
I also got a good idea off the forums for hanging planes off the ceiling using a hangar and foam padding the Floatstar is hanging off a electrical conduit it works great as well.
