There are lots of other options out there. Wild Hare, BME, World Models, Airwild, Aeroworks, Chief Aircraft, the list is endless..............
If you're new to IMAC, pick one and fly it 4 days per week. Burn fuel. The plane, at this point, makes about 5% difference. Later on, if you get really good, go buy the one that you think is the absolute best. Thats subjective. What you think is the best will be the one that somebody else thinks is the biggest hunk of junk on the planet. Doesn't matter. They all fly. Just pick one and fly it.
This will be my first IMAC and with my first gas plane--GP Giant Aeromaster w/ DL 50. I know it's not an "IMAC" plane, but what the heck, I'm just going to give it a shot in basic. A buddy in Florida has been really pushing the Wild Hare products. That might be my next step. I haven't even flow the GA yet and the DL has 24oz of 32:1 lawnboy thru it. Thought I could learn the basic sequence on the simulator, but not having much luck. Flying on the sim is nothing like at the field--IMHO. Must practice...practice...practice...
