Default RE: Sealing an engine?

ORIGINAL: Itsme7

That seal job looks a little over the top, never seen so much sealant being used on a rc car, lol. Ive never had troubles with air leaks, the gaskets hold their own.

Like i already stated......that JP-3 job was the first 1...and ya its overkill...but *** do u care...I can damn well guarentee that its NEVER EVER EVER gonna bust the seal and Puke fuel all over the dirt guard causing a little funny backpressure off the pipe causing some tuning issues...All cuz u think its overkill........ya right....u say seals hold there own...I CANT COUNT how many trucks i see in pit row with little wet spots under the pipe gasket.....Mugen Was the ONLY 1 imo to get the solution right with the Snap loc....but its gonna take some time for other's to get on the band wagon......but w/e...time will tell....and check out my Photobucket and see the 086 i did...Definatly not overkill..and its Never EVER gonna leak...so in relality...i dont have that on my concience when a tune goes arye cuz of altitude or Extreme temperature change....I like my stuff to work All the time....Not like 1/2 the racer's who have Flame outs and tuning issues/shut down's....its sad to see a guy putting a KNOWN LEAKY glo plug into the WRONG MOTOR and have it RUIN his race weekend.....and a leaky motor is Never a fun thing to deal with.
