Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Kerwin Mine is the same. All the same Tendencies CG is the same as yours 4 3/4 at half throttle to get it to fly level i had to set down elevator trim. But i havent built a hatch yet and my battery is in the stock location still.

above 1/2 throttle she really climbs and then at an idle the nose really drops Is any 1 else having that problem It appears that I may need some down thrust
Mine does the same thing. I think the CG needs to moved back on mine to get rid of so much down elevator. My 150 is doing the same thing and the Cg is at 5 3/4 on it. Both need the CG farther back i'm thinking and both land hot but both have large engines. And both required Down elevator trim to fly level at half throttle. I just figured that's the way they Fly. Going to move my battery back in both of them and hopefully that will change the CG.

Downthrust might help some but i'm not to sure about that i thought the downthrust was built into the firewall?

But tommarrow i'm going out to fly my 150 again going to strap a Mini Digital camera to it and try to get some in flight video since i dont have a camera man. Going to try and mount it for side recording so the wing tip is going to be in View. Hopefully it works.

Still have to Check the 40 over Before i fly it again. Tuned the 150 So taking it out for another run, see if it performes any better. Think it will since last flight it was running 600 rpm below peak got it up to 9000 rpm 200 below peak rpm so it should fly better.

As long as the wind don't start blowing like crazy again should be a good day for testing. will be so glad when spring get's here in full swing. I feel for all you that have to deal with all that Snow and ice back there. I'm looking foward to hearing about everyone elses flights...
