RE: OS BGX Experience Wanted
A clubmate used to run one of these engines with a quiet tuned pipe for a few years. He said a very reliable and nice running engine and it really pulled his 80" aerobatic plane verticaly forever. My experience is that larger twostroke glow engines work best with a hot glow plug and OS-F seems to be one of the best plugs and once set slightly rich are very reliable and idle very low. Fuel containing 15-20% oil castor/syntetic blend and about 10% nitro is good as a starting point and a 20-24oz tank as near the engine as possible. The original stock muffler is restrictive and "low on power" but very quiet for noise sensitive places.
