RE: u-can-do 60
Hey everybody.
Thanks for the words.
Well, for me, the Do is not exactly fragile, but it have some problems. I can't blame UCD for my firewall. I had some bad landings, due some dead sticks.
But I got the covering problem. I am very disappointed with Great Planes for it. I'm sure the film that convers the Do is not Monokote. At least, is not the same Monokote that you buy from Tower. It is totaly different. Even the colors don't match, if you buy it separately to make some repairs. Its true I didn't seal it before fly, but I never did it in my planes and I never saw something like what happened to mine. Is not just the film came off. But it left their paint on the plane wood. I never saw this on genuine Monokotes. So crazy.
Another point is the hinges. Those things in this plane are really fragile. Here goes an advice for the new Do owners. DON'T USE THE STANDARD CA HINGES. I have a You Tube video of a day that the rudder hinges failed and my plane lost the control and almost hurt somebody.
The last thing is the horizontal stabilizer. The base where it is installed it's a little fragile. It can brake in some 3D manuevers. This is a thing you should take care some times.
The rest, the Do is perfect.
