You are either new to having nitro cars, or have experience and ignorant what to check and tighten before you run them or just had bad luck with it. I had a hurricane for almost a year and not a single part ever broke on it! It is a great buggy. If you are new you will have problems because it will need tuning to get it running, you need to loctite everything and check all your screws and nuts all time, "Maintenance". If not you will have alot of problems. I agree the radios are not great and servos are not but as with any RTR except the Losi, those things will always be sub-par because everyone always upgrades them.
