fuel
Once and for all: If you don't race and compete, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH USING AIRPLANE FUEL. Its the same stuff just a little more oil. You will NOT lower an engine's life by using more oil, in contrast, you will experience lower engine life by using low oil (as in RC car fuel).
Folks, fuel isn't rocket science. Don't be fooled by slick marketing and higher prices for car fuel. In this case, you are not getting what you paid for. RC people who drive sport and don't compete are getting ripped off by PAYING MORE for less, less oil that is.
Slick labels on the fuel jug and dyed fuel colors is just part of the gimmick to let you think you are getting something special, you aren't.
Yes, for PURE PERFORMANCE, a fuel with less oil will outperform a fuel with more oil when nitro % are equal. However, there is a cost to this: decreased engine life.
I'm probably going to reignite the fuel controvey among car drivers...just doing my part to stamp out ignorance.....
