Default fuel

Folks, fuel isn't rocket science. Don't be fooled by slick marketing and higher prices for car fuel. In this case, you are not getting what you paid for. RC people who drive sport and don't compete are getting ripped off by PAYING MORE for less, less oil that is.

Slick labels on the fuel jug and dyed fuel colors is just part of the gimmick to let you think you are getting something special, you aren't.

Yes, for PURE PERFORMANCE, a fuel with less oil will outperform a fuel with more oil when nitro % are equal. However, there is a cost to this: decreased engine life.

I'm probably going to reignite the fuel controvey among car drivers...just doing my part to stamp out ignorance.....

Very well stated homebrewer I agree 100%. see the problem is that alot of newbs go to thier lhs to get thier car and get help tuning it. the lhs will sell them the "car" fuel. And they will buy it eveytime from now on. this is how the money is made. It is without doubt a marketing scheme. nothing is illegal about turning a fuel a different color and selling it for more. Also there is nothing special about the fuel that says "specially blending for car engines". For the record I have ran "airplane" blend fuel in all my engines, and ive had boat, plane, and car and they have always ran very cool and produced plenty of power for my needs. Im going to leave it at that.
