ORIGINAL: divine_13

electric:

RTR kit
Battery
Charger

your ready to hit the track. no starting or breakin required.
Not to nit pick on you devine, but not all places have a class for RTR's to run in, and if he decieds to run his RTR car that allows down to 11 turns and he has a stock 27 turn motor he wont stand a chance. So if he does go RTR in most cases he will have to at the very least switch some things around like his motor. And RTR's arent really the way to go if your going to be racing either. The servo's arent really all that great, neither are the engine's/motor's and the esc's along with some of the parts.

So either way if he wants to be a competitive racer then a KIT would suite him better, as you get to build it yourself, become more familiar with the car that your building and then when you do break something you know how an what needs to be done to fix the broken part. Although if they do have a class for RTR's then that might be an idea worth entertaining.
