What??!? You need to learn how to tune a motor if you are going through a motor every few gallons let alone parts.
True with that.

If ya take care of your engine ( After Run Oil + Proper Break In + Tuning ), they can go as long as you want them to.

Recentely I just passed what, 10 - 12 gallons on an older motor I had, and only reason it went was because I pushed it too far.

As for parts, depends on what you hit, I bash the heck outta mine, and all ive ever broken on my Hyper ST was a steering knuckle, because I hit a damn peice of wood in the middle of the track...
