Default Making new engines in G4?? Changing model weight??

Ok guys, how do you make a new engine in G4? I mean, is there a formula or tried and true way. I want to make an Irvine .53. So I copied the OS .46 and then messed with the torque curve a bit. I changed the weight of the engine and such. I put the prop on that I use. The rpm seem a little to high and I can almost get the horsepower I need. Any help or a tutorial would be awesome. Maybe someon even has a list of some engine they have created and the specs...
Now, the next question, which may be easier for some of you. I simply want to change the weight of a plane. Say, for instance, the Twist .40. I would like it to weigh almost 5 1/2 pounds. Is there a way to do this.
Thanks, and sorry for the confusion...
John
