I flew one of these back in 1984. I used a Byron fan unit with a Rossi .81. Engine was mounted upright and the pipe went into the upper part of the fuselage. That was back when the fuse was all balsa. It worked good and flew well for what it was. I remember going throught the speed traps with the gear in the wells at 108 mph, and 107 with the gear down.
