Default RE: This Cement Saw shall fly !!!

I've been practicing with Aluma-Weld.

It's not great with my propane torch but it's a lot better with my oxy-Acetalyn torch.
But still not near that of a TIG machine.

It looks like it will cost me $50.00 to have 4 or 5 welded if I get everything ready and they just sit down and weld.
And at that price I'd just as soon have it done perfect that pretty good.

7000rpm with a 24x10 prop ... Thats a lot of wind.

According to ThrustHP, which is over rated thats 48 thrust pounds at 8 horsepower.

If I had to guess 8hp would be a low estamate for that engine.

I'm sure that a 24" prop is to long for my 540 with the landing gear that's on it now.

How about a 3 or 4 blade prop?
The plane weighs in at about 16 pounds ... I need to get a scale.
