Personally, I think the avistar is dead ugly. The tower is much prettier in my opinion. I think high wings are beautiful., in general. I'd rather fly high wing than low wing. Your post simply echoed a popular notion that many folks hold concerning flat bottom versus semi-symmetrical wings on trainer aircraft.

It's not the shape of the wing, it's the amount of dihedral that has the greatest effect on the trainer's handling characteristics. Semi-symmetrical is just a marketing term for "almost flat." A lot more affects how a trainer handles than just the shape of its wing's leading edge.
