Just thought I'd chime in...
I just returned from flying my Cap (3rd time to the field with it). Today the wind was dead calm, so I really got to put the plane through the ringer. As you can see from my previous post, I wasn't too thrilled with its windy weather performance...
My first plane(this is my 2nd) was an Avistar and I was very happy with its aerobatic capabilities for a high-wing. But this plane is an absolute monster! With that big ASP .91 4s and a Master Airscrew 14x6(best prop so far) it will waterfall and blender like nobodies business! Seriously, I didn't think it would do it, neither did the guys at the field. But, I tried anyway, and it would waterfall with minimal input to the ground(if you let it, but you probably shouldn't).
I couldn't get it to completely flatten out an upright spin, but inverted I'm sure I could get it to hold its altitude b/c it flattened so well. It needs more right thrust as TR'ing was next to impossible. But, knife edge was super and... well, I am just so excited about this plane that I simply can't wait to get to the field again. Oh, and now that I have had a chance to really try it out, the G2 Cap doesn't even come close to being as aerobatic as this Kyosho.
P.S. ASP is got to be the best value 4 stroke engines have ever seen. That sucker starts first flip every time, idles like a champ, and is quite a stump-puller
Regards,
Philip
Michael - Yes, I put the up thrust in and I suggest you do it as well. In fact, I might ad a bit more before its all said and done.
