good to hear of your success with this twin,I bought one too,and nothing but problems getting it to run ,I set the needle valve2 turns each, finally started but seems to heat up and quit.then runs for awhile at somewhat idle speed when I try to advance throttle it sags and then seems to run out of fuel.I have tried needle valve settings as per the manual,no joy, checked all fittings for air leaks, all seems good.I also have a dl50 and it runs like a clock.I don,t know
Do you have a tach and can you get to the fuel line while it's running to pinch the fuel line like a glow engine to see if it is rich or lean? It does work. You may find the carb hign speed jet is plugged. If it runs ok up to 4000 rpm sags and quits the high speed jet isn't passing fuel. This was a problem with some of the first DL50 engines.
