The former in the full scale Corsair for the tail wheel was just behind the leading edge of the vertical fin, and it was mounted at the very bottom of that former so that when retracted the tail wheel and fork remained outside the aircraft.
Bugger! I checked mine on my TF 1/8 and it's about a half inch too far back. [:@] It should be about comparable to the level of scale on the rest of the kit though.
