What brand is your Radio and does it have programable firmware in it? It is Heli or Airplane?

Take for example, Futaba 9C (that I using). By manufacturer default the sticks had been configuration either to Mode 1 or Mode 2 but in the system firmware allows additional 2 modes for you to change.

But in you case, if possible change the program from mode 2 to mode 1 thus will require to swap the throttle detent mechanism and the centering mechanism (refer to the spring tension) from left to right side stick.

No wiring connectors to be remove as to avoid bad connection.
