This is my personal view:

- Nitro engines usually are more powerful than electric.
- Nitro engines do not need to be recharged, you just pour in the fuel and you're done. No half hour to 1 hour downtime while waiting for your batteries to get charged
- Nitro engines are noisy, while electric ones are more or less silent.
- Nitro models are usually much more expensive than electric ones.

I prefer nitro, mainly because of the downtime I used to have with battery charging.
