Another point that might matter to some, is that there are two failsafe approaches available, or at least on the AR9000. As described in the document all servos go to a preprogrammed fail safe position. In the other mode, which is achieved by leaving the bind plug in while going through the bind process, the throttle goes to a preprogrammed fail safe position, and the remaining channels hold last position. In both cases when the system is powered up all servos, except the throttle which is left powered off, are set to the position that the controls where at when the system went through bind, until the system links up with the transmitter. This means if you go to all channels to fail safe you must choose gear down and make sure that nothing else bad will happen, since you will always power up in failsafe condition.

Hi guys,

I just helped a customer ("new to turbines" guy but otherwise a very knowledgeable RC guy) and he could ONLY get failsafe to work using this "throttle preprogrammed failsafe" mode. This was using a module in an xp9303. Anyone know why the other method would not work?

Thanks in advance,
