Default RE: FS One by Hangar 9

I used to run FSOne on a low end GFX initially... ATI 9250.

I would guess that generally you'll need to put the 3D scenery details and quality to medium for your integrated GFX (edit: or actually even a bit lower than medium). But the lower setting won't necessarily have a huge impact and the 3D scenery is not mind blowing anyway.

With that GFX, your best bet is the photo panorama scenery, which you could get away with 100% quality with... if not, then just under max settings. Panorama is markedly less taxing on the GFX (and CPU)... I know that from GPU and CPU load and temperature monitor logs.

And with the airplane graphics (which is very good quality at best), you might get away with 100% quality IF you're in the panorama scenery (because then the only polygon calculations are from the aircraft).

edit: If you end up setting panorama a lot lower than 100%, then you'll see it as blurryness (or like a grainy photo) which you don't notice so much during flying. The trees in the distance for example are not much affected. And likewise with the aircraft graphics, when you're flying, it's further away half the time.

You've got a good amount of RAM (758 MB) which always helps. I only have 512 MB and I have no complaints.

Your screen resolution is set relatively high. You might also try a slightly lower screen resolution setting like 1024x768 to get more oomph from your GFX for FSOne. You don't want to go too low of course, but even one-step lower can give you a lot more performance while retaining decent pixel depth.

EDIT: I just confirmed that your chipset is roughly the same as an ATI 9200 (maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more). So whether you can have both aircraft and panorama at 100%... can't say for sure. Purely linear comparisons of GFX's is not entirely possible. But ATI 9200 as I recall is on the lowest end of the minimum GFX hardware for FSOne.

***** Hopefully someone here has flown the H9 Corsair and can answer how close the FSOne corsair is to the real one.
