Cheers guys, about as warm a welcome as you can get without actually putting a beer in my hand !

I'll keep you posted with 'flight day 2' of my RC flying experience.

My plan is in 4 x stages as this :-

i) Get 100% to grips with the Aerobird 3 then...
ii) Buy a Parkzone FW190 and get really good with that, then...
iii) Buy a RTF or ARTF EDF and learn how to fly that, then...
iv) BUILD ! a twin EDF A-10 and get to grips with that

Does that sound reasonable ?
I don't know why people aren't trying to convince you to go GLOW yet. I was gung-ho for electric, and was talked out of it, and thankfully so.

I just saw a guy flying the other day; he was through 3 lipo's in the 30 min. I talked to him. Sure the planes were quiet and clean, but I'm not too interested in planning a day, driving to a field somewhere, and being limited by my expensive battery supply. I'm very thankful I was talked into a glow plane so I can land, refuel, and go. I'm finding out that gallons of fuel in my club are $12-$15 ea, which adds up, but batteries don't last forever either.
