Is there anything I can do here to get this truck running or do I have to just keep throwing parts at it? Since I can pull on the pullstart and not get any resistance again I feel that the spring thats behind the pin isnt strong enough. EDIT* I've pulled the motor apart again and found that the spring has collapsed down to the size of the pin AGAIN. The pin isnt shearing at all as a matter of fact you can kinda feel it try to grab every so often but the spring doesnt push it out hard enough to engage. The only thing I can think of doing is order a new one way start shaft, spring and pin. Aside from that I am out of Ideas? I am a tech at a Dodge dealership and its fair less frustrating than this is LOL LOL LOL...CEN racing? Dogman? NOMOBUX? Some I just need to some insight cause nothign I have done so far has worked. Thanks everyone
One thing I did, while waiting for the new spring, was to stretch the old one. I believe it's actually still in the trk. OR, take the old one and match it at a good hardware store. Most of these are kinda generic if you can find one that's close in dia and you can cut to length. I spose it could partly be the shaft mech ( a burr or ? ). I think I'd call Cen tech, explain the sit and make them replace the parts. In the meantime, it doesn't take too long to do the stretch trick or find a close size spring. Sorry if this don't help ya !!
