Most computers translate the www to the http://

I just tried the www.rc-bearings.com on my Powermac G5 running Leopard/Safari and it went right to the site but automatically translated the address to the http://rc-bearings.com/ like you mentioned. My IBM(s) running XP/Firefox will do the same thing
