RE: WACO YMF
I'd worry about the aluminum gear bending, too, if it wasn't for the struts limiting how much the gear can spread. The whole thing weighs about 4 oz. more than the factory setup did. Damifino made the gear for me; we need to hire him away from NASCAR, as he is a gifted fabricator in many different materials. I wish we heard more from him, but I figure he stays pretty busy.
I'm afraid to compare my flying to golf; if I compared a takeoff to one of my tee shots, it would be either over-rotating and digging in the prop (taking a big divot), ground looping from a hard left turn due to too little rudder input (shanking the ball), a big skid to the left as I left the ground (hooking it), and I don't even want to think about water hazards or going into the trees. Landing could be compared to a long putt, watch the follow through.
Hopefully, I'm a much better pilot than golfer, or my WACO won't last very long.
