CGRetired,
How do you like your TIGER 120? I haven't seen one fly but once. It's on my list if I ever finish the planes already waiting in my shop!
Mike

Hi Mike.

Well, it flys great, typical Tiger. As you may have read, (maybe you have not, but I've posted it in a few different places here on RCU) the only heartburn I had with it is that it took over a pound of noseweight (lead strips) in the nose to make the CG. A friend has one with an OS 1.60 FX and he needed quite a bit of noseweight to make the CG. Mine has the OS 1.20 AX and needed more wieght.

It's a solid plane, I did not use the tail braces to hold the vert/hor stabs in place, they do just fine as they are, and this would have added even more tail weight which would have needed more nose weight.. so I just left the hardware off. And at about a 1 - 4 ratio (1 ounce in the rear needs 4 ounces up front to counter), I didn't need any more up there.

But, as I said, it flys great. Very deliberate, and straight, I must add. It's fun to fly, by the way. Very much a Tiger, if you've flown any of the other Goldberg Tigers (Tiger II and Tiger 60) which I have. When I did my first aileron roll with it, well, I was sort of used to a roll rate of perhaps 2 seconds. Well, a normal roll rate with this big guy is more like 6 seconds. Slow and deliberate.. and straight!!

It lands like a very large, powered kite.. "floats like a butterfly".

Dick.
