I have installed a 9000 in my little Savex L39 which meant everthing had to go into very small cockpit. I decided to put one remote in the wing, just inboard of the MLG and made up an extension lead with an aileron cord which is connected at the same time as the aileron and flap servos (I reversed the plug layout to avoid an incorrect connection). That remote consistently shows the lowest antenna fade count of the 3 receivers. Hope this helps.

Just deciding how to install the 9100 in my BobCat XL with all 3 remotes attached.

My 9100 had bare red wire too but was not touching the other wires in the switch.

All my Spektrum stuff is working flawlessly, still not a single frame lost in flight.
