You don't need to bend them inside the airplane. Bend the servo end then stick the threaded end (sans the clevis of course) through from the inside of the airplane.
I have even gone as far as inserting the control rod in through the hole for the fuel tank after bending when I couldn't get enough room to come in any other way on a tight installation.
