Spektrum DX6i problem - losing settings
Greetings all,
I recently purchased a new helicopter and it came with a Spektrum DX6i. Everything was fine until I tried to add other models to the radio. That's when the insanity began. If I create a new model in position 2, set the new model's type to helicopter, and move the rudder channel, within 30 seconds everything for positions 1 and 2 (except the model name) is reset to defaults and must be rebound. This happens on any memory position 2-10 and is 100% repeatable on my tx, even if the setting is "saved" by selecting a different position before moving any controls, or cycling the power. Now, just to make things a little more odd, if I setup a model in position 1 and COPY it to another position, the above problem doesn't occur when using the copied model, at least so far.[sm=confused.gif]
IMHO, this is a serious problem, especially since it's triggered by a control input. The last thing I want to do in the air is discover the sequence that causes the problem for a copied model. This tx will be single-model-only until this problem is fixed.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Is there an easy way to see if there is an available firmware update that addresses this issue?
I'm a bit frustrated at this point . . .[sm=punching.gif]
