Default GP Shoestring

I was so impressed with my Shoestring that now I want them all!

This is a beautifully designed and built aircraft. The covering and paint are nothing short of perfect and it assembles quickly. No trouble whatsoever. I went with the recommended OS 61FX (and bisson pitts muffler) because I didn't want the needle valve sticking up through the top of that great cowl. I also used a Carl Goldberg spinner because it matches the red monokote and paint perfectly unlike the included GP spinner which is too dark. You'd think GP would color match their plastic parts to match monokote since that is also their product. To further eliminate holes in the cowl, I used the new Dubro remote glow igniter which will go on all my cowled planes from here on out---nice.

Oh now that I think of it...there was one thing I did not like. The decals are kind of thin so when you place the side number 16 on the fuse, the red stripe bleeds through that decal. If I had it to do again I would have covered that area with some pieces of (cub) yellow monokote beneath the decal. Too late now. I am a perfectionist--sorry!

Flying...smooth as silk, and bullet like!

Buy it!
