GP Lancair, I've flown it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday was the maiden flight of my Great Planes Lancair. In one sentence: It flies just how it looks!!!!!! Awesome. It's powered by an OS .91 Surpass II. Takeoff was just like any other plane, very stable in flight, and landing is the best part. No bad tendencies. To be honest I was very comfortable flying and landing the plane, aside from the regular feeling of flying a brand new plane, I was pretty normal. I did not use flaps at all, because they touch with the fuse and I did not want to take the chance of deploying them and then not being able to retract them. But in honesty they are not needed, not even in landing.
I had some parts missing in the kit, fortunately not major ones. Assembly was just like any other GP ARF. I will try to post some pictures later on and maybe a video.
If you have this ARF, go ahead and finish it, you are going to love it. If you don't have it RUN to your hobby shop or put your mouse on 30% nitro and get one.
