I'm sure a lot of modelers would welcome a "V" twin or "modified offset inline" gas burner with a reduction gear that would fill the void for spinning a scale prop on all of those 1/5 and 1/4 scale narrow cowled models. I see innovation from some of the manufacturers but man is it slow. I see nothing going on in R&D for OEM Reduction Drives. Wow! what a weight savings could be designed into these. I know that fixed pitch props have limited engine design in the past and it looks like that may not change. Hey! unless someone gets with it, this void will be filled by [sm=what_smile.gif]..............ELECTRIC MOTORS.........[sm=thumbs_down.gif]
