Q. How do you land?
A. On the wheels hopefully and in such a manner as to be able to fly again

As was stated you can land on grass (cut to no taller than 2 inches but shorter is prefferable) or asphalt. Taller tires can handle taller grass as can larger airplanes. Also as stated here find a local flying club and walk right up to them and tell them what you want to do. If they do not enthusiasticly try to help you then you probably don't want to be a member of that club anyway. If you showwed up at my club in this manner I would break out my trainner and buddy box and ask you if you wanted to give it a try today.
