Default RE: How do you land?

ORIGINAL: wings

Here is a very basic procedure for taking off and landing.

Since you are completely new you may benefit from reading this [link=http://www.hooked-on-rc-airplanes.com/learning-to-fly-rc-airplanes.html]beginners advice[/link] .

By reading it you will learn what types of airplanes are available and which is best to learn with.

The guys are right about joining a club, especially if you plan to fly a glow or large electric plane.

If you are planning to get a small electric park flyer you may get away with learning yourself if you have tons of patience and money, but more than likely you will get frustrated and give up on flying without getting help from an experienced flyer.

Flying is not hard at all. But here's the kicker, you only have one shot at it. In a split second you can destroy hundreds of $$ of equipment.

So it is critical that you are fully trained and confident before flying by yourself. At club you can use a buddy box. That allows you to hook your controller up to the an instructors radio. When you get in trouble he will take over and save your plane. It's really the only way to go, you can't beat it.

Good luck!
Thanks, I've been looking for this kind of documentation for some time
